Greetings Brenda

Hit Ctrl + Alt + Del keyw twice on the xp login screen.
When the username password box comes up type the username
as "Administrator" and leave the password blank.
You will be logged in as admin. This account is created at
the time when xp is installed.

After that go to control panel user accounts you will see
your admin account. Change the password.

Note the above steps are for win XP Pro.
