Enabling Stored User Names and Passwords

How do I enable Stored User Names and Passwords in XP
Professional?

Microsoft's documentation has plenty of information on
how to manually manage user names and passwords. But, I
can't find anything on how to enable the feature that
automatically prompts to save the credentials and then
stores them if you check the box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Steve
