Forgotten user name and password

I am trying to share a folder using an ethernet cable
connection between two computers. The PC that has the
file is old and I cannot remmeber my user names or
password. The new computer recognizes the old pc but
prombts me for the user name and pasword..any way I can
bypass this, find out what they are or create a new one?
