XP Home Firewall Option Grayed Out

Posted a few days ago. Unable to activate XP Firewall as
Internet Connection Firewall box in Local Area Connection
Properties in un-checked and grayed out. Checked
services.msc and verified ICF/ICS is started and on
automatic. Additional help appreciated. Regards, Bill
