New security patch

If the email you receive from Microsoft is legitimate, I
don't know why you'd continue to receive them. There has
been a false email going around that carries a virus -
something to be aware of.

Open Windows Messenger and modify its options so it will
not load with Windows when you boot your system. Tools |
Options.
