Click Start, Run and enter SERVICES.MSC Locate the Remote Procedure Call
(RPC) service. Double click it and go to Recovery. Set the Recovery
options to Restart the Service.
Next, go to www.dougknox.com, Win XP Fixes, Windows Update - KB823980 -
Cryptographic Error. This will correct the issue with the patch
installation.
Then see www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_qr.htm#rpc for information on this
issue and a quick, safe removal tool for Blaster.
