I received the following as part of two different emails,
from two different sources, both with an attached file
which Norton Antivirus 2003 deleted saying:

        Norton AntiVirus removed the attachment:
q132366.exe.
The attachment was infected with the
W32.Swen.A@mm virus.

When I hit "Reply" these email addresses that came up:
        "Microsoft" <lrqtlwgvqos_llcjcmch@updates.ms.net>
        "MS Technical Assistance"
<setphdklfykhl@technet.net>

The email "look" like Microsoft email, but I was
suspicious because I use Windows XP and have it set to
automatically update from your web site and because
neither of these appear to have originated from
Microsoft.

Here is some of the text from the email:
MS Client

this is the latest version of security update,
the "October 2003, Cumulative Patch" update which fixes
all known security vulnerabilities affecting MS Internet
Explorer, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express as well as
three newly discovered vulnerabilities. Install now to
help protect your computer from these vulnerabilities.
This update includes the functionality of all previously
released patches.

Does anyone have any information on this. I did not reply
and did NOT run the attached file.

Ron
