Novell and XP Pro login

My son's computer at school is using XP Pro with a Novell
client. Click to use workstation only and get the windows
login prompt. Key in user and password and prompt returns
without password but no futher. I've tried admin, two
other user accounts same results. Any ideas. Thanks in
advance for any help.
