virus recovery

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a virus recovery
problem. I was infected with Backdoor.Sdbot - I scanned
it with Norton AntiVirus - and it found the virus and
deleted the system32.exe file. Is there anyway i can get
this file back without reinstalling windows?
what does this file do?
