DCOM vulnerability

I just reloaded this XP PC for a friend. I have
installed all available security patches at Windows
Update and NSWorks Pro with AV and all applicable
updates. The XP Firewall is also turned on. Next I went
to the GRC.com site and ran DCOMBOB.exe. It says the
local DCOM is open and vulnerable and to D/L the patches
at Windows update. The same site passed my own PC with
flying colours but says the patch is ineffective on this
one.(Claim it happens often) Which patch is the offending
one - should I remove and reaply the patch until it goes
in properly?? I'd like to get this correct for obvious
reasons.
