Scan your machine completely with a couple good quality
virus and trojan tools. After you have replaced the file,
some alienware is repeatedly reestablishing itself, again
wiping out the system file with its own modified version.
You need to hunt and destroy the alienware.

Spy ware software came up with the following information:
Lavasoft Ad watch
Ad watch Event Log
12-09-2003 11:07:21 Registry modification detected
I keep getting this message
Windows File Protection
Files that are required for windows to run properly have
been replaced by unrecognised versions. To maintain
system stability windows must restore the original
versions of these files.
Insert your windows XP home Edition CD-ROM now.
I normally fix the above problem by installing the
following file
I install 811493: Security Update (Windows XP) and
moments later i get a message saying "Files that are
required for windows to run properly have been replaced
by unrecognised versions. To maintain system stability
windows must restore the original versions of these
files".
I have re-installed it 83 times since 17th April 2003
Has this happen to anyone else? Can anyone help?

A security issue has been identified that could allow an
attacker to compromise a computer running Microsoft®
Windows® XP and gain complete control over it. An
attacker would need the ability to log onto the computer
locally to carry out an attack. You can help protect your
computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After
you install this update, you may have to restart your
computer
