Hi Max,
VSS (the Volume Shadow Copy Service) is actually connecting only to
the local machine IP address. On Windows XP, it does this to enumerate
the SQL Server/MSDE databases on the machine (part of the reason is
that the snapshot must contain a consistent copy of these database
files).
ZoneAlarm mistakenly interprets the TCP/IP connection above as an
attempt to connect to the Internet. In reality, the connection is to
the same machine.
