Administrative Password

I am having trouble starting WinXP home addition. I
cannot boot into safe mode but I can get to the restore
console, and run from the original load disc. I am trying
to reload the kernel32.dll file but in the process It is
asking for an adminstative pass word and I don't know it
and didn't think I set one up when I loaded XP on a new
computer. Am I SOL or can someone help. I cannot boot
into XP so all the options of changing the password are
null and void. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
