Hi Folks, should be easy to set-up security so that I can access all files
and drives on my local net work and also allow access to myself on VPN -
whilst limiting access to others over VPN.

Should be easy..... unfortunately I cant find a way to allow access to
others on my local net without fully de-securing.

I have 4 machines, 3 XP Pro 1 XP Home.

I'd like to be able to access my main desktop (connected to the web via a
router) from any of the others. I'd also like to access my desktop from the
WEB using VPN (VPN already setup). I don't understand how to grant access to
myself when I try to connect from another machine. I understand the
principle of users and groups having permissions, just cant grasp how to
allow the User: Laptop/Ian to get access to the desktop (User: Desktop/Ian).
In the add permissions for user dialogue there seems no way to add the user
machine/name to the allowed users list box.

Any help would be appreciated.
