I have a mixed environment domain with NT4 sp6a DC, win2k3
file server and XP pro workstation. (this is interimum
configuration as we migrate to win2k3 server as DC using
AD) We have several bat files that work perfectly when
used from a NT4 workstation but generate an "Access
denied" error message when executed on the XP machine
unless it is executed by the admin. This was duplicated in
command prompt using
"net use lpt1 \\sharedSource\SharedPrintername"
When executed on NT workstation it works for everyone, but
it only works for Admin level password when executed at
the XP Pro (sp1) machine.
I have opened the target machine fully. both permissions
(everyone - full control)and security have been opened all
the way without success. A group policy was created to
execute as equivalent to admin - no luck. etc.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
