Network access in Windows XP Prof

I don't know why, but for some reason the drives on my
computer can be accessed, from the network, without any
need to enter any username or password.
I've Windows XP professional with service pack 1 and also
installed the patch for the blast worm.
I want the users to be authenticated before they can
access my computer.
