When I am logged onto my XP Pro computer as
account "Administrator" the AutoComplete function of IE6
does not memorize passwords on basic authentication
dialogs or forms containing passwords. It asks me if I
want it to memorize these items and I click the "Yes"
button, but next time I access the site it has not
memorized the userid or password.
If I log onto a different user account, even one assigned
to the "Administrators" group, these features work
flawlessly.
I've searched the Knowledge Base and tried everything,
but I can't find a way to make password AutoComplete work
when logged onto the "Administrator" account. Can anyone
explain why the "Administrator" account is working
differently than other accounts (even those with
administrative privileges)?
