Try this page.
If you have disabled the service
To get the service restarted (MVP Bill James):
You will need to use your XP CD to boot to the Recovery Console, then type
the command: Enable RPCSS Service_Auto_Start
Then press the Enter key to submit the command. Then type: exit
and press Return to restart the computer.
BTW it would have helped with a little bit more information.
