Make sure you (if XP) turn on the firewall before you start to install the
patch and remove the worm. After you have installed the patch (from
microsoft) reboot. Clean out the worm, reboot. If you believe the firewall
will hinder the normal use of business, then turn it off. Go ahead and
patch the machines fully, install a good antivirus software and schedule it
to update itself every day around 11AM is good.
