I bought a Compaq Presario 5000 at a nearby Circuit City
last year. Due to problems surrounding the recent virus,
we had to reinstall XP. Microsoft will not accept the
product key that comes up with both the printed product
key and the key that comes up on the screen when the local
tech tried to reinstall. Microsoft declares it invalid and
won't accept it. How do I get my computer back? Why does
it happen?
