Running XP Home edition and encountering the following
issues when trying to remove the worm:

1. All critical updates have been applied to the computer
2. Additional file listed on MS website installed
3. Disabled System restore
4. Set up the firewall
5. Activated anti-virus software
6. run fixblast.exe and it stops and receive an error
message that it can not continue and send report to
microsoft, dont' send.
7. CTRL+ALT+DEL brings up the task manager for a brief
minute and then it disappears. Can't access this at all
except for in safe mode and the msblast.exe is not
appearing.
8. Try to open the registry to delete the entry and the
registry appears for a brief minute and disappears. Can
access through safe mode but the entry is not in the
registry.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to clean up this
computer???
