I sure hope someone can give me an idea as to what is going
on here... I'm running XP, 2 days ago I dl'd Norton 2003
trial, everything was fine, at that point, went to install
and it wouldn't finish. When it comes up it has an error
message about not being able to connect, and another one.
Here's where it gets interesting... Since the d/l IE won't
work, comes up with a run time library error. It won't let
me do a system restore, page is blank and won't load. A
couple of weeks ago I d/l'd AVG and it wouldn't load up, it
had a not a valid win32 error (or something along that
line). I've tried to re-download Norton and when it gets
to the install it says that Norton is already running, when
it's not, please close and retry... I've tried to uninstall
Norton, that doesn't work, again the "it's already running,
etc." message. Now tonight my yahoo messenger dialogue box
is blank... I've run through the patch and fix it tool, and
it came back that I don't have the worm.. any ideas here??
I did find a couple of trogans and spyware, but what would
cause IE to not work, no system restore, and Norton to be
so screwy??

thanks so much!!

Kim
