Popup ads problem

that was identified as a trojan horse, and removed it but
am still having the same problem. I have purchased
several security programs from McAfee in an effort to
solve this problem, but it just seems to be getting more
and more complicated all the time. I am monitoring all
outgoing/incoming comunications and am surprised at how
much is taking place without my pushing a button. I am
getting really paranoid now unfortunately, not feeling
that I have control over access to my computer.
