In addition, do you means that there is no way that on other PCs, user login
using their own local account. But when accessing the shared folder on my
PC, it will prompt for the userid and password that I created in my PC
purposely for sharing folder, which has different name and password from
    their normal login userid?

    Thanks

    | Do you mean that the local user account I create for the shared folder on
    my
    | PC must has the same username and password as the one that use to login on
    | other PC.
    |
    | I.e. userB with password 1234 is use to login to PC-B. So, on my PC I must
    | create a local account with the username as userB and password as 1234.
    |
    | Am I right?
    |
    | Thank you for those links.

    | | Greetings --
    | |
    | | On the WinXP PCs, create local user account(s), with non-blank
    | | password(s), that have the desired access privileges to the desired
    | | shares. Log on to the other PCs using those account(s), and you will
    | | be able to access the designated shares, provided your network is
    | | configured properly. Make sure that all three computers are using the
    | | same networking protocol, are members of the same workgroup, and are
    | | on the same subnet.
