Why Does SP1a Install Need Space on System Partition

Hi,

I've got a multiboot setup where I only have a very small
C drive (around 7 MB) who's sole purpose in life is to
handle the boot loader stuff and pass control to
the 'real' Windows partition.

I've just re-installed XP on one of these 'real'
partitions and went to install SP1a on it. Utter
failure. The installation *insists* that there must be
30MB of free space on the 'system drive' to install.

Why. There's less than 2MBs worth of files on that disk.

And is there ANY way around this, so I can install the
Service Pack. The strange part is, that before I re-
installed, I had the beta version of SP1 loaded and it
didn't ask for any space on the system drive when it was
installed. I guess that's progress. <G>

Cheers,
Eddie
