Hi Jamie,

If user can't remember local password you can login to the PC with e.g.
Domain Administrator Account and change his local password. After your
successfully login right click My Computer -> Manage -> expand Users and
Groups -> click on Users -> select the old (local) user and right click
it -> select Change Password.

NOTE: If user has used Encrypted File System (EFS) under this account,
changing the password this was will prevent him from accessing encrypted
files (they will be useless)

Other thing you can do is make domain user local admin on PC by adding him
to the Administrator Group.
To do this again Login to the PC as Domain Administrator and after your
successfully login right click My Computer -> Manage -> expand Users and
Groups -> click on Groups -> select the Administrator -> click Add and look
the Domain User in domain. Add him to this group.

Now logon as this user and take ownership of his files. They should be in
c:\Documents and Settings\<oldusername>
