HAL.DLL missing or corrupt message at boot

Thnx Jonnin,

It turns out that I have a larger problem; when I
scandisked the drive on another machine (as a slave) the
partition failed the CRC, and the Windows dir failed to
appear in explorer, so it's FDISK time, and a clean
install anyway.
