I repeatedly get the new update icon on my task bar. It
keeps showing the same updates to install. I visited
Microsoft's update site and started to install updates
there. None of them will take. I also noticed that I
get no sound from my computer, even if I plug headphones
into the jack on the cd. I don't know if they are
related but it looks as though I may have picked up a
virus of some sort. I checked for new virus definitions
from McAfee's site and I am up to date there. My pc
appears to be clean.
