Hi Ken,
Right click My Computer -> Manage -> expand Local Users and Computer ->
click on User container and double click your username. Click on "Member of"
tab and check that you are member of Administrator group. If you are, remove
yourself from "User" Group. Log-off from PC and login. Try to edit the
registry.
You can also try this:
At the login screen (Welcome Screen?) click Ctrl + Alt + Del quickly twice.
You should now be able to type "Administrator" under Username box and enter
password for Administrator account. You can try with blank password or any
other if you have set it.
