Unfortunately, XP Home can't be joined to a domain. That is the way
that Microsoft designed the operating system. XP Professional is
built for enterprise networking. There are limited ways to access
files and folders on a domain using XP HOME. However, just make it
easy on yourself and update your laptop to XP PRO.
