Hi Jimmy,

Yes, the issue may be caused by that the Internet Connection Firewall of
the Windows XP blocks the file transfer of the ICQ.

To work around this issue, temporarily disable the ICF by following these
steps:

1. Click Start, and then click My Network Places.

2. Under Network Tasks, click View Network Connections.

3. Right-click the connection that you use for the Internet, and then click
Properties.

4. Click the Advanced tab.

5. Click to clear the "Protect my computer and network by limiting or
preventing access to this computer from the Internet" check box.

| I want to ask a question, my friend, before are using W2K,
| now reinstall by a new WinXP, and he is using ICQ, later, I
| send him some photo to him, his ICQ can't receive the file
| what I want to send to him, but before he using w2K haven't
| those problems, do it is because the WinXP build-in
| firewall blocked the ICQ receive file fuction?
