I'm running XP Home on a Sony laptop and I recently
purchased a Western Digital firewire hard drive for
increased storage. I'm wondering if there is any way to
privatize some of the folders on this drive. The regular
privatization option is greyed out when I use the Explorer
to access or change the options on the drive. I assume
this is because the drive is transportable, and therefore
not obligatorily connected to the same
computer/OS/network/etc, but I am still wondering if
there's any way for me to make certain folders private,
either on the drive itself or on the drive when hooked up
to at least this particular laptop. (I only use the drive
with one laptop right now.) The drive is NTFS formatted.
Thanks for any suggestions.
