Please post details of the problem, especially any error messages, and your
answers to the questions below in microsoft.public.windowsupdate, via
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsupdate in your
newsreader (e.g. Outlook Express) or "windowsupdate" in this list
http://communities.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.asp?icp=mscom&slcid=US.

1. What updates are you trying to install? You can go back to Windows
Update and view your history to find out what has failed.
2. Check these logs for errors and let us know what you find:

C:\WINDOWS\Windows Update.log
C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4\iuhist.xml

NOTE: Your computer may have these logs in different locations. For
example, Windows might be installed to D:\WINNT, so the first log would be
located there.

If you have trouble finding those, try this: click Start and Run, type (or
paste from this message) the following and press Enter, once for each log
(note the space between Windows and Update in the first):

%windir%\%windir%\Windows Update.log
%programfiles%\WindowsUpdate\V4\iuhist.xml
