Administrator Password - Complications

My PC has recently crashed and I have been unable to run
windows XP for some time now. I have searched this sites
help pages and worked out how to repair the files
involved, however this is useless as I cannot access the
recovery console due to having forgotten my administrator
password. Does anyone know how I could overcome this
problem to complete the repair, bearing in mind I cannot
access windows? Thanks for your help!
