I know you're sweatin' thinking someone's been trying to
log on to your computer, but what you seen is perfectly
normal. The names you seen CHAP and RASMAN... these are
services your computer runs and these services need
authentication before they can run on your computer. Go
back and look at those event logs and you should see that
the DOMAIN should be the same for every one of them. This
ensures that they're all from YOUR computer, because
they're all from your own DOMAIN.
CHAP is an authentication protocol and RASMAN is a remote
access service manager. These are both services you need
to have running when... say... you're just surfing the
internet. Don't panic... just check the domain the log
came from and you'll have no question.
