This crap was driving me crazy. I searched "messenger pop-
ups" and found several purported cures for free. I tried
one of them and it worked, but I can't remember what it
was called. You can enter START, at RUN type in
messenger.msc. Scroll to Messenger. Right click. Select
Properties, Disabled, Stop. This is supposed to solve the
problem. I did this out of curiosity and found that the
free software must have already established these settings.
Those Messengerblock guys are aholes. I had a few canned
scatalogical Emails I spammed them with on the pretext of
buying their software.
