I have been trying for months now to delete a file on my
hard-drive, and I simply can't. I've tried everything in
my memory (both in windows explorer, and MSDos prompt) to
get it off my harddrive, but it just won't go.
Right now, I have the directory/file (it is one file in a
directory, but I can't delete the directory I believe
because of the file being there) in the 'RECYCLER'
directory (but opening the recycle bin doesn't seem to
see it in there, if indeed the 'recycler' is the 'recycle
bin' at all.
If I try to delete it in windows, I get a error something
about it being in use, or the hard-drive is full. If I
do it in MSDos, I get a 'there is no such file' type
error.
I'm about to pull my hair out by the roots on this one.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm desperate already.
BTW, I'm still new to XP (Got my machine w/XP in March),
so if this is really obvious, please be kind to me. :)
E-mail responses are prefered....as I don't know if I'll
be able to find this forum again (I kinda stumbled upon
it in my thrashing trying to find *something* to help me
get rid of this file.
TIA for all your help.
