When you formatted and reinstalled windows, the
encryption keys changed (SID). However, you can copy,
move or take your HDD and put them on a FAT32 volume.
For example Windows 98, burn the files to cd or dvd,
format the drive and install the HDD back on Windows XP
Professional (NTFS volume).
Lesson Learned: Decrypt your files prior to formatting
or back up your keys.
