To search for an article by number:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[LN];kbjump
To install it using Windows Update:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
And scan for updates..
To use windows catalogue to search for it:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
click on the "Windows Update Catalog" link on the left. Don't see it? Click
on the "Personalize Windows Update" link on the left, check the box next to
"Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog under See Also" on the right
and click on "Save Settings". Then the link should be there..
Choose your OS and then type in what you know about the fix.. The number,
what it fixes, whatever you know. Search and it should find what you need.
