Is the copy of XP on your old machine a RETAIL or OEM version?
Retail - no problem - do what you describe. You may have to call Microsoft
when youactivate, but explain your situation and they shold be helpful.
OEM - nope - it is assigned to the first machine it was installed on
LEGALLY.
