I have windows XP and Norton Anti-virus, which the
particular virus I have disenables Norton and Norton
didn't even detect it. It took another anti-virus program
to pick it up. I have backdoor.servu.30 and now, Norton
detected a hacktool virus which infected my sfind.exe
file. Backdoor has infected my winexec and related system
files. I'm not experiencing any real problems except for
sound will not come in.
I've had my computer a year. I found my restore only went
back 3 months and I have lots of disc space, and this
wasn't far enough to restore the computer pre-virus
stage. I do not want to reinstall windows and go throught
he configuration again...this can get very tricky. Nor do
I want to manually mess with registry keys as this is
prone to error which can lead to more drastic problems.
Any ideas?
