I hate to break this to you this way, but OEM software is "married" forever
to the first system it is installed on, thus even though it was stolen, you
lost the right to use it on the replacement system.
Add the cost of the software to the cost of the system when you file a claim
with your insurance company. When you buy a replacement PC, good chance it
also will come with a newly licensed copy of WinXP.
We went through this with a MS support person ~1 month ago, and that is the
legal position with the EULA.
