Home or Pro ?
The Administrator account does not show on the Pro
version's Welcome screen unless it is the only account.
This account is of use in Home in a safe mode boot.

You did not need to change the way users log in and reboot.
If all accounts are logged off (none are fast switched) then
at the Welcome screen just press alt-cntrl-del-del
