CSRSS.EXE is the Win32 subsystem server process, one of the OS' critical
processes. It handles a lot of things, including a part of the window management.
So, do not try to delete it, or anything like that. Since you have problems with
pop-up messages, you should 1) try to remember if you have installed some
kind of ad-ware, 2) stop the Messenger service (that's not the Windows Messenger
application, it's a service) and 3) try firewalling (use ICF for WinXP).
