Hi i have recently installed windows xp pro over windows
xp home addition. i didn't use the upgrade option but now
i cannot load the home addition becuase i think the
installtion was done on the same directory so it over
wrote the existing os. so the problem im having is all my
work and files were on a different username. now with pro
i have the basic admin account and when i go to
C:\documents and settings\user\ it says "access denied".
I tried creating a new user profile with the same name
and password but still the problem wasn't solved.

is there any way i can gain access to this folder again?
is there any way i can make a new profile which will
point to my previous folder?

even if i can just take my work out of their would be
great.

thanks in advance for any help.
