Nice list Jupiter. I think something may have gotten
mixed up inadvertantly for item 5, perhaps it should be :

Go to Control Panel
Click on System
In the System Properties go to Automatic Updates tab
Uncheck "Keep my computer up to date"
Click Apply
Recheck "Keep my computer up to date"
Click Apply
