Can't run the recovery from the recovery's harddrive

 I don't have the recovery disk to my PC but I have the
recovery HD but another day when I tried to install the
redhatlinux I also installed a boot maneger called GRUB
and it doesn't let run the recovery from the recovery HD
and I not sure if when I installed the GRUB the recovery
could possibly be runed in the PC.how can I uninstall the
GRUB and run the recovery ? thanks.
