Not too big a problem to fix:

Right click "My Computer" and choose "manage" from the list of options that
appears.

The computer management window will open up.
Expand the "system tools" tree, then "local users and groups" and finally
click on the "users" folder. In this folder you should see a list of user
names including those of you and your wife.

Double click your account name and a window should appear with your account
properties in it, select the general tab (probably already selected) and put
a tick in "password never expires". Finally, click "OK" to close your
account properties dialogue. Repeat for your wife's account. Repeat for any
other accounts you might use in the same way for guest users.

Hope that helps.
