When you go to My Computer, and right click on your C: drive, and select
Properties -- what does it report for Used Space and Free Space?

Have you tried clicking on the Disk Cleanup there in that Window to delete
any temporary files?

One other suggestion: start up Internet Explorer, then click on Tools >
Internet Options. Then click on the button labeled 'Delete Files' (under
the section titled 'Temporary Internet Files'). A new window open. Click on
OK. If the hourglass stays up for longer than a few seconds, then it is
deleting a whole bunch of temp Internet files for you.

If so, once it is done, while still in Tools > Internet Options, click on
the Advanced Tab, scroll all the way down to the last section (titled
'Security') and click to enable the option 'Empty Temporary Internet Files
folder when browser is closed; then click Apply and OK.
