hello to all,
i have windows XP home edition. i cannot change the
attributes on my folders-- whether i create the folders or
they're created by a program. my 'read-only' box is always
checked with a grey backing. i have tried, Numerous Times,
to 'Uncheck this box, Apply and OK' yet the box remains
checked. yesterday, after encountering one too
many 'denied access' errors i phoned my computer help line
and the tech support operator told me it was a hard drive
eroor and the only way to fix it was to reformat/install
my entire computer. So I Spent The Entire Day Doing This
only to have my read-only box remain checked. can someone
help me with this please! thank you
